The journey of The Body is not just the story of an organization; it is the story of a marriage, a calling, and a nationwide search for the heart of the Church. For nine years, we have walked side-by-side as husband and wife, but our bond has always been anchored by a third cord: a relentless devotion to the Word and a desire to be true followers of the Truth.

A Journey Across the Heart of America

Throughout our marriage, we felt a pull that took us far beyond our own doorstep. We have traveled the United States many times, intentionally stepping into the sanctuaries of countless denominations. From small rural chapels to large urban cathedrals, we sought to connect with the people—the congregations and their leaders—who make up the diverse tapestry of faith in this country.

Seeing with Clear Eyes

In our travels, we remained committed to the Word above all else. This perspective allowed us to see clearly. In every denomination we visited, we found beautiful, profound Truths that reflected the character of God. Yet, we also encountered the human faults and divisions that often keep the family of God apart. We realized that while doctrines may differ, the need for a solid, unified foundation is universal.

Our Calling: Rebuilding and Uniting

It was through these experiences that the Lord gave us our directive. We felt a clear call to help rebuild the church and unite our brothers and sisters. Our mission is not to critique or dwell on the faults we found along the way, but to move forward in a spirit of restoration. We believe that true discipline and strength come from a unified operation, where the focus shifts from what divides us to what binds us together.

United in Love

At the core of The Body is a simple but powerful command: to be united in love. "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." (John 4:8) We choose to look past the imperfections of the past and the differences of the present because we know that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Our story is one of healing the fractures and gathering the fragments of the faith community into one cohesive, loving whole.
